God Delivers
Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
God's promises are true by themselves with or without our belief in them. God promises are, however, sometimes conditional upon our response. For instance, Galatians 6:9
"So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."
The Promise: You will reap.
The Condition: If you don't grow wear in doing right.
But the reality is, sometimes we do grow weary and we simply have no more strength left and God's promises seem a far off and out of reach.
But then I remember that while most of God's promises require a fit response, they are not dependent upon my ability but on His. For instance, Isaiah 40:31
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."
All of God's Word is connect by a common thread- faith in the God who is able to deliver. That's encouraging when you combine these 2 verses into one life-changing truth:
If we will simply wait on the Lord and trust in Him, He will provide new strength, to not grow weary, that empowers us to persevere, thereby causing us to receive His promises.
It's simple, but game-changing. At the end of the day, it's not on us to do more than to come before Him and wait expectantly in faith trusting in His strength and ability and not our own; and as we do, His power sustains us until He delivers.
