God is still God, even in exile (quarantine)

I know things are kinda upside down right now, but I wanted to encourage you with this thought. Once upon a time the people of Israel were suddenly taken away to Babylon in exile. Everything they once knew was gone and for many of them they felt like God had all but abandoned them. But God wasn't surprised or caught off guard. He was still absolutely in control.  Although they spent 70 years in exile, often God stepped in and had to remind them of who they were and whose they were and that although their circumstances had changed, He had not. At that moment in time they could see no end in sight and no reason to have hope. Often they got discouraged and wondered, "where is God in all this?" and some started to think, "maybe God's done with us." But a third of the Old Testament was written during the time of exile.
